General Summary: The Academic Advisor III is part of the Advising Services team and is expected to assist with all advising and registration activities within Advising and Transfer Services. This adviser will serve as the Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences liaison and assume primary responsibility for regular communication with undergraduate students, faculty advisors, and administrators. The primary caseload (250-300 students) will include newly admitted freshmen and transfers majoring in programs under TRBCoESS. Responsibilities include developing remediation plans, collaborating with other academic support departments for identified students, and facilitating assessment of programming provided. This adviser coordinates the University Early Program, geared toward supporting students identified by faculty as needing connections to resources to complete courses successfully. Developing and maintaining communication with all shareholders, and facilitating communication with students, will be expected.
