Job summary

Temple University’s CPCA seeks an Academic Advisor II to guide students on schedules, majors, and policies, while maintaining extensive records and collaborating with CPCA faculty.

The role involves developing outreach for first-year success, delivering innovative projects to improve student outcomes, and engaging in activities that advance retention and achievement within the arts programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 1.5 years of advising experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated experience in program development and implementation.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to work with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic scheduling, major choice, standing, and university policies.
• Maintain and update extensive student records and collaborate with CPCA colleagues on curricular changes.
• Develop and deliver outreach for first-year student success within CPCA and the university.
• Lead and participate in initiatives to enhance student success and retention.
