George Washington University in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC, is seeking an Academic Advisor for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Academic Advising Office. The role provides entry‑level advising to help students navigate degree requirements, registration, and campus resources, while supporting personal and academic goals.

You will be part of an advising POD, maintain records, and collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student success, orientation, and graduation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree conferred by start date.
• Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preferred: degree within education, counseling, student affairs, or liberal arts.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate students on degree requirements, course selection, registration, academic planning, policies, progress, and graduation.
• Maintain accurate advising records; monitor progress and respond to inquiries on registration, transfer credits, leaves, and academic standing.
• Contribute to advising resources, orientation, graduation, outreach, and team initiatives; collaborate with colleagues across the university.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
