Job summary

Phoenix College is seeking a dedicated Student Services Analyst (Academic Advisor) on a short-term basis to support student achievement by guiding course selection, degree requirements, and timely progression. The role collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus partners to deliver advising and success programs, including Guided Pathways.

The position is regular full-time, with a projected end date of 06/30/2027 and renewal based on funds and business needs of MCCCD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Sociology, Business Administration, Counseling, Liberal Arts or Sciences plus two years of student services or college teaching experience, or equivalent combination.
• Short-term assignment with a projected end date of 06/30/2027; renewal contingent on available funds and MCCCD needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end academic advising to a caseload of students to support learning, persistence, and degree completion.
• Offer one-on-one and group advising, onboarding, retention, and progress tracking using PeopleSoft and other systems.
• Connect students with tutoring, counseling, financial aid and other campus resources to support success.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff and campus partners to promote Guided Pathways and comprehensive advising services.
• Perform ongoing follow-up and assess student progress to identify improvements and ensure completion.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Sociology, Business Administration, Counseling, Liberal Arts or Sciences

Equivalent combination of education and experience
