Job summary

Regent University in Virginia Beach is seeking an Academic Evaluator to support retention efforts by providing high-level administrative and academic assistance to the advising team. You will research and process complex student matters such as petitions, readmission applications, and escalated advising issues, coordinating with faculty and registrars.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years in academic advising or related field, strong organizational and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–3 years of experience in academic advising, student services, higher education administration, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret academic policy, degree requirements, and curriculum structures across disciplines.
• Excellent organization and communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain expert-level knowledge of Regent University’s programs, policies, and advising procedures.
• Support the advising team by researching complex tasks and coordinating with faculty, deans, and registrars to facilitate petitions and readmission processes.
• Perform student record audits and milestone reviews in collaboration with academic advisors and leadership.
• Develop knowledge of student resources and institutional processes to support petition reviews and evaluations.
