Group 1001 Insurance, based in New York City, seeks an Associate to specialize in ABS / Specialty Finance within its Investment Management division. You will evaluate opportunities, support the full investment process, and help model bespoke securitized structures while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in an investment management firm, investment bank, rating agency, accounting firm, or consulting firm.
• Experience in ABS, asset-backed lending, specialty finance.
• Self-starter who can execute independently and take ownership.
• Strong team-player with collaborative mindset and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate ABS / Specialty Finance opportunities in public and private markets.
• Contribute to all investment process phases: idea generation, credit analysis, underwriting, structuring, execution, and surveillance.
• Assist in deal term negotiations, review materials and perform analyses.
• Construct and model bespoke securitized structures for consumer assets.
• Interface with bank sales/trading teams and manage incoming deal flow.
• Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
