Job summary

JCW Group is seeking an experienced ABL Underwriter to join its new business underwriting team. This fully remote role focuses on underwriting new asset-based lending opportunities sourced by a national origination team, across a diversified middle-market book.

You will engage in deal structuring, credit decisions, and close coordination with stakeholders. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in asset-based lending underwriting with strong ABL collateral knowledge, financial statement analysis, and

• Strong understanding of ABL collateral (A/R, inventory) and borrowing base mechanics.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new asset-based lending opportunities up to $50MM.
• Analyze borrower financials, A/R and inventory collateral, field exams, appraisals and credit quality.
• Build borrowing base and financial models to size and structure facilities.
• Partner with Business Development Officers on deal structuring, pricing and credit recommendations.
• Prepare credit memos and approval packages for senior leadership and committee reviews.
• Manage transactions through closing with legal, operations and clients.

A national, technology-enabled specialty finance lender is looking to add an ABL Underwriter to its new business underwriting team. This is a hands-on, fully remote role focused on underwriting new ABL opportunities sourced by a national origination team, across a diverse, generalist middle-market book. This is an ideal opportunity for a credit professional looking to join a lean, collaborative team with steady deal flow and real exposure to deal structuring and credit decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new asset-based lending opportunities, generally up to $50MM, across a diverse portfolio such as consumer products, light manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce and lender finance.
• Analyze borrower financials, A/R and inventory collateral, field exams, appraisals and overall credit quality.
• Build borrowing base and financial models to size and structure credit facilities.
• Partner closely with Business Development Officers on deal structuring, pricing and credit recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive credit memos and approval packages for senior credit leadership and credit committee review.
• Manage transactions through closing in coordination with legal, operations and clients.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in asset-based lending underwriting, commercial credit or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ABL collateral, including A/R, inventory and borrowing base mechanics.
• Strong financial statement, cash flow and credit analysis skills.
