Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community-based settings, helping individuals build communication and social skills under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Responsibilities include following behavior-change plans, documenting progress, and creating structured, engaging interactions. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges
• Help individuals build social and communication skills
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session
