Job summary

Bierman Autism Centers seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-12 in a center-based setting in New Jersey. You will follow individualized plans, collect data, and communicate progress with families under the supervision of a BCBA.

We offer strong training, growth paths toward BCBA or leadership roles, comprehensive benefits, and a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:15 am–4:45 pm, with no travel.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RBT certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Able to lift/carry clients up to 30 pounds.
• Willing to restrain/hold/transport per Behavior Support Plan.
• Maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, etc.).
• Able to chase clients safely and maintain three-foot distance.
• Sit or stand for extended periods; monitor client needs.
• Attend to basic needs (feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing).
• Dexterity for data collection on computers/devices.
• Visual acuity for reading/writing on paper and screens.
• Transfer data from written to electronic formats.
• Work on computer for long periods.
• Assemble/clean/maintain therapy space and materials.
• Administer medications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions.
• Follow skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
• Collect data and write therapy notes.
• Communicate progress with parents with guidance from BCBA.
• Assist BCBA in preparing client materials.
• Maintain knowledge through required trainings.
• Follow BACB guidelines and pursue RBT certification if needed.
• Support a positive, collaborative work environment.
