Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help design a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, guide ABAI accreditation timelines, review curriculum against ABAI standards, and support program communications.

Contract work is part-time and capped at 40 hours; compensation is $100 per hour. Requires a doctoral degree in behavior analysis, BCBA‑D, and proven experience with online ABA programs and ABAI accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
• Current BCBA with BCBA‑D designation in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills in curriculum sequencing, assessment and accreditation, and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs (including program director and faculty qualifications).
• Create a standards crosswalk linking courses and learning outcomes to ABAI standards with a gap analysis and revisions.
• Document how curriculum and fieldwork align to BACB requirements and state licensure.
• Draft internal program communications and review external materials.
• Attend scheduled meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Submit deliverables per the SME contract and program structure requirements.
• Protect confidential university information and follow AI governance policies.
• Adhere to the SME contract; perform additional duties as assigned.
