Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services’ SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care is seeking an experienced ABA Intake Specialist to join our team in Springfield, IL and surrounding locations. The Intake Specialist will manage referrals, guide families through the intake and authorization process, and obtain documents from physicians and other providers on behalf of families.

You will coordinate with physicians, verify insurance, support prior authorizations, and ensure a smooth onboarding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in healthcare/ABA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes (Medicaid, commercial) valued.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Referral Management: process and verify ABA referrals from physicians, schools, and partners.
• Family Support: be primary contact for families and guide them through intake steps.
• Documentation: obtain and upload required documents to the EHR; ensure accuracy.
• Insurance & Authorization: assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Clinical Coordination: work with scheduling and leadership for assessments.
• Compliance: follow payer guidelines and HIPAA; maintain detailed notes.
