Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services, through its SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care affiliate, is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to manage ABA referrals, guide families through the intake and authorization process, and obtain necessary documents. This role ensures a seamless onboarding experience while maintaining payer and organizational standards.

You will work with physicians, schools, and care coordinators, verify insurance, coordinate with clinical teams, ensure HIPAA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, case management, medical office, or ABA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes (Medicaid, commercial plans) valued.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Referral Management: review, process, and document all incoming ABA referrals.
• Family Support & Communication: serve as the primary contact for families during intake.
• Documentation & Coordination with Providers: gather documentation and upload to EHR.
• Insurance Verification & Authorization Support: assist with verifications and authorizations.
• Coordination With Clinical Teams: align scheduling and eligibility with clinicians.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: ensure intake steps meet payer and regulatory guidelines.
