Qualifications

• 1+ years in insurance verification, authorizations, or related healthcare admin role (ABA/behavioral health/pediatric therapy preferred).
• Knowledge of eligibility, benefits, authorizations, medical necessity, payer requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with insurance portals, EHR/practice-management systems, and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility & benefits for ABA services and confirm coverage changes.
• Prepare and submit initial authorization requests for assessments and treatment.
• Track active authorizations, deadlines, and initiate timely re-authorizations.
• Coordinate with BCBA and clinical team to collect necessary documentation for authorization.
• Liaise with insurance team, clinical, intake, and billing to communicate status and issues.
