Job summary

Medford Public Schools is seeking a special education teacher with ABA experience for the Medford Connections program. The position reports to the Director of Pupil Services and Special Education Coordinator, collaborates with the BCBA, and requires alignment with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s in Special Education.
• ABA experience essential for program design and delivery.
• Strong ability to manage an individual caseload and coordinate with the BCBA team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with state frameworks.
• Maintain individual student program books.
• Plan and implement discrete trial programming.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff assigned to the classroom.
• Complete Educational Assessments and related documentation.
• Serve as liaison for a caseload to ensure IEP implementation.
• Develop IEPs, progress reports, and formal documentation.
• Create a conducive classroom environment and implement behavioral supports.
• Be available to students/parents outside instructional day when needed.
• Meet with BCBA, Evaluation Team Leader, and Special Education Coordinator regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services.
