Job summary

Anova Education is seeking an Autism Paraprofessional - Behavior Support (ABA-Aligned) for the Southside Early Childhood Center. This 190-day position provides targeted behavioral and functional skill support to students, collaborating with teachers and specialists to implement individualized plans across classrooms.

The role requires travel between multiple school sites within a geographic area, with duties including data collection, direct student support, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Ability to implement ABA-aligned strategies.
• Strong data collection and progress monitoring skills.
• Experience supporting students in general and special education settings.
• Commitment to student dignity, inclusion, and positive behavior supports.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional strategies aligned with ABA principles under supervision.
• Provide supervision of students at all times.
• Adhere to district dress code policies.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Provide direct support to students to increase engagement and task completion.
• Collect and record data on student behavior and progress toward goals.
• Use evidence-based strategies such as prompting, reinforcement, modeling, and task analysis.
• Support de-escalation and crisis intervention using trained techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency of interventions.
• Assist with development and preparation of instructional and behavior support materials.
• Promote independence by fading supports over time.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulations.
