Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorder and related challenges in Pomona, CA. This role focuses on social and communication skills development and adherence to behavior plans.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development, or 1 year experience with children (e.g., Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional).

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social, communication, and behavior skills.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones

• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
