Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy for children with autism across Brooklyn, Yonkers, Long Island City, and surrounding areas. You will implement plans under supervision, collect data, and maintain records while coordinating with families and the therapy team.

The role requires excellent communication, organization, and HIPAA knowledge. Flexible schedules and multiple openings across boroughs are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field.
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism
• Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA
• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
• Maintain detailed session notes and records
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
