Job summary

A Better Way ABA in New York is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy to children with autism under supervision of a BCBA. You will implement behavioral plans, collect data, and maintain accurate notes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of experience with children, strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Evening and weekend availability is preferred for after-school sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• HIPAA confidentiality knowledge and adherence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.

Job description

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Job Requirements

Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field

Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

Part-time: 15-30 hours per week

Must be available after school hours and/or weekends

Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
