Job summary

Lighthouse ABA in New York City is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism in home settings under BCBA supervision. This role directly supports children's growth and communication.

You will implement treatment plans, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining clear communication with families. Flexible hours including some evenings and weekends are available in this part-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous ABA therapy or autism experience preferred but not required.
• Passionate about working with children on the autism spectrum.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow treatment plans and document data.
• Ability to adapt to individual client needs and manage a caseload.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA therapy techniques under supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions following individualized treatment plans.
• Teach social, communication, and behavioral skills in a supportive environment.
• Foster a positive relationship promoting independence and well-being.
• Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress for effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team to review progress and adjust plans.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers, updating on goals and generalization strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and data.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
