Job summary

Kid Clan Services, Inc. in East Rutherford, NJ, is seeking compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to work under a BCBA and implement ABA-based plans with clients who have ASD and other developmental needs.

You will collect data, teach essential life skills, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in homes, schools, and community settings while receiving comprehensive training and support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the BCBA to address clients' specific needs and goals.
• Provide one-on-one direct instruction to clients using ABA techniques, including discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Collect data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection tools and methods.
• Assist clients in acquiring and practicing functional skills across various domains, including communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
• Foster a supportive and positive learning environment for clients, promoting engagement, motivation, and independence.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review client progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and ensure consistency across settings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other team members, providing updates on progress and sharing relevant information.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis.
