Job summary

Lighthouse, a NYC-based agency providing ABA therapy for children with autism, seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician. You will deliver one-on-one ABA services under BCBA supervision, building rapport with children and families while adhering to individualized treatment plans.

Ideal candidates are patient, empathetic, and organized, capable of maintaining meticulous session notes, data, and progress while collaborating with a diverse interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to children, following individualized treatment plans.
• Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills in a supportive environment.
• Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with clients, promoting independence and well-being.
• Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team to review progress and modify plans.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers about goals, progress, and strategies for home generalization.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and data collection.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development in ABA therapy.
