Job summary

The Watson Institute in Bridgeville, PA seeks a Behavior Technician to support students with autism in a special education classroom. Under supervision, you will help implement IEPs and PBSPs, monitor progress, and apply ABA principles to improve communication and social skills.

You will maintain safety, participate in crisis management strategies, document activities, and collaborate with a classroom team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a closely related field required.
• 40-hour Behavior Technician certification must be completed within one month of starting.
• Experience with children with autism and complex needs preferred.
• Experience implementing positive behavior support plans is preferred.
• Must be able to supervise students during drills and activities and assist with lifting as needed.
• Clearances (Acts 34, 114, 151) required; pre-employment medical exam including TB test.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of students' IEPs and PBSPs in classroom.
• Collaborate with the team on behavior management and ABA applications.
• Collect data as directed and analyze trends for program decisions.
• Document activities and maintain classroom safety and organization.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing training; ensure safety procedures.
