Job summary

The Watson Institute in Wexford, PA is hiring a casual Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Intensive Behavioral Health Service (IBHS) program. You will implement ABA-based treatment plans, provide one-on-one interventions, and support families to help children with autism progress.

Responsibilities include supervising children in home and community settings, attending required trainings, and maintaining thorough progress notes and records.

Qualifications

• Certifications listed above (BCaBA, RBT, BCAT or equivalent) are required.
• High school diploma with 40-hour RBT training evidenced by certification.
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience is required.
• Ability to complete required trainings and maintain compliance.
• Clearances (Acts 34, 114, 151) must be current.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plan objectives by working directly with children who have autism and related disorders in IBHS.
• Provide direct one-on-one therapeutic interventions under supervision of a Behavior Consultant.
• Work with families to help them acquire skills and maximize child progress and independence.
• Communicate progress and issues with families regularly.
• Deliver services in the child’s home and community settings.
• Supervise the child and maintain safety in community settings.
• Assist in developing social skills and peer interactions.
• Attend supervision meetings, individual sessions, and trainings as required.
• Implement behavior management plans to support participation in community settings.
• Apply ABA intervention techniques and maintain progress records, daily notes, and required paperwork.
