Job summary

Burnett Therapeutic Services in Contra Costa County is hiring entry-level and certified RBTs for part-time Behavior Technician roles. You'll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays in-home, in-clinic, or school settings, delivering engaging, play‑based sessions and supporting communication and social skills.

We provide paid RBT certification preparation, supervision, training, and opportunities to advance to BCBA‑level roles.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain RBT certification within 6 months of employment.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain during onboarding.
• Background check (FBI & DOJ) required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-on-one behavior support through engaging, play-based activities.
• Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by BCBA professionals.
• Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately.
• Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support.
• Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
• Sessions take place in home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours.
