Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll administration and/or labor compliance.
• Experience with certified payroll and AB219 prevailing wage is preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems such as UKG or similar platforms preferred.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, including timecards, adjustments, and deductions.
• Review timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance with policies and labor laws.
• Maintain payroll records and earnings history in the payroll system (UKG or equivalent).
• Coordinate with HR and management on new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and employee status updates.
• Prepare certified payroll reports accurately and on schedule for AB219 compliance.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Support audits and respond to compliance inquiries from agencies or clients.
