Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a AAT Senior Research Technician to perform research and/or development in collaboration with other scientific and technical staff. The role involves designing, executing, and interpreting experiments that contribute to project strategies. The Contractor will provide laboratory support by assisting in aerosol exposures and executing research protocols as directed by AAT Leadership. The ideal candidate should have 7 years of relevant aerosol experience and a working knowledge of aerosol generating platforms and ancillary equipment such as aerodynamic particle sizers, aerosol nebulizers, aerosol collection devices, and various plenums. Responsibilities include executing scientific studies, assisting with data collection and entry, maintaining laboratory space and equipment, and mentoring staff. The work environment includes BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 laboratories with controlled substances, requiring BPRP and CS-PRP certifications.
This position supports the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, MD. USAMRIID collaborates with various military, government, and private organizations to protect the Warfighter from biological threats and investigate disease outbreaks, conducting RDTE of medical countermeasures and supporting research activities.
