Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant for ASAP programs. The role supports planning, coordination, and evaluation of cultural events and engagement initiatives on campus.

You will collaborate with staff and student groups, help manage events like AANHPI Night Market and Lunar New Year, and assist with workshops and outreach. Open to undergraduate or graduate students meeting unit requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
• Follow oral instructions.
• Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
• Communicate effectively with all levels.
• Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and understanding around social justice issues;
• Proven strength in logistical and programming skills.
• Previous student leadership experience.
• Bilingual skills; strong computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, promoting, implementing, and evaluating Signature Events; supports 1–2 programs each semester.
• Attend weekly all-staff meetings and individual meetings with pro-staff.
• Assist and support Warrior Cross Cultural & Community Engagement & Belonging programming.
• Support other student programs.
• Inform, recruit, and motivate students to attend events.
• Serve as an AANHPI liaison to student groups/campus partners.
• Work with professional staff and other departments; serve on committees.
• Maintain Warrior Cross Cultural Center/Space, open/close procedures.
• Welcome students, faculty, and staff; engage on services offered.
• Participate in trainings and presentations with partners.
• Table during campus-wide events; serve on committees.
• Foster belonging, inclusivity, and community.
• Other duties as assigned.
