Job summary

Requirements include a J.D. degree and admission to the SC Bar, 0–3 years of experience, strong legal research and writing capabilities, and the ability to manage calendars, prepare pleadings, and represent the State in court.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active membership in the South Carolina Bar.
• 0–3 years of legal practice experience.
• Must meet Rule 403 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review applications, calendar returns, and prepare pleadings and responses.
• Represent the State at court hearings as scheduled.
• Prepare proposed orders requested by the presiding judge.
• Represent the State on appeals in post-conviction relief cases and related filings.
• Maintain accurate calendars and ensure timely responses to requests from Solicitors and law enforcement.
