Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Speech Language Pathologist specialized in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to serve adults with complex communication needs. You will evaluate, select, and implement AAC systems across inpatient, outpatient, home, and community settings, working closely with physicians, therapists, and vendors.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, MA license with ASHA, CPR, and hospital-based AAC experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current MA license and ASHA certification; CPR certification required.
  • Hospital AAC experience beyond clinical fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide AAC evaluations and ongoing intervention for adults with complex communication needs.
  • Program and customize no-/low-/mid-/high-tech AAC systems and SGDs.
  • Educate patients and caregivers; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; support insurance documentation.
