Job summary

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide AAC, AT, and SLP services to individuals with disabilities across Central Maryland. The role requires travel to multiple locations and a flexible schedule to collaborate with teams.

Duties include conducting AAC/SLP assessments, developing treatment plans, providing AT assessments, therapy, and reporting. Maryland licensure and CCC-SLP certification are required; travel reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold CCC-SLP Certification.
• Maryland state licensure required.
• Experience with AAC and assistive technology preferred.
• Ability to travel across Central Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs-based AAC and SLP assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide AT assessments in the areas of physical access, cognitive, and low vision.
• Provide AT, AAC, and SLP therapy and training services for individuals with disabilities.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving relative to AAC tools.
• Prepare written reports as required.
• Oversee application/approval of funding for AAC devices.
• Complete Case Management, including referrals, scheduling, billing, team meetings, and service provision.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and therapy/training logs with relevant data to document client progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to the field.
• Day travel to multiple counties with travel reimbursement provided.
