Child Saving Institute is seeking a Lead Educator for Toddlers at our Mary Holland Campus in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on supervising daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging environment, and fostering early development through structured learning.

The candidate should have 3+ years in early childhood education, strong communication, and a background in child development with ECE or CDA credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in early childhood education or child development.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain upon hire).
• Knowledge of child developmental stages, classroom management, and licensing requirements.
• At least 19 years of age and a degree in ECE or CDA credential OR equivalent (see above) or HS diploma with CDA within 12 months.

As an Lead Educator, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities would include supervising and coordinating daily classroom activities, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children, and fostering healthy development through structured learning. In short, our Lead Educator will ensure children are engaged, safe, and thriving in their early educational journey.

Summary and Responsibilities

We are looking for an Lead Educator to act as CSI’s newest team member. This person will be responsible for:

• Helping children discover new interests through day-to-day lessons, activities, and social interactions.
• Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, and sharing.
• Modeling strong communication skills including grammar, enunciation, and developing language skills
• Keeping daily records related to the care and progress of each child.
• Providing direct supervision and ensuring safety and engagement during activities and outings.
• Communicating effectively with parents, sharing information, discussing concerns, and facilitating conferences.
• Maintaining a safe, structured, and organized learning environment.

Do you think you’d be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:

• 3+ years of experience in early childhood education or child development
• A strong communicator between staff, clients, and their caregivers.
• Observant of individual developmental stages and growth of children.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain certification upon hire).
• Possess some knowledge of child developmental stages, classroom management, and licensing requirements.
• At least 19 years of age and hold a Degree in Early Childhood Education OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR equivalent (12 higher education credits in early childhood education, early childhood special education, elementary education, and/or child development); OR have a high school diploma/GED and willing to complete a CDA or equivalent accreditation withing 12 months.
