Impyrian in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced A/V Production Specialist to install, operate, and maintain conference room AV systems for hybrid events. You will manage waveform and signal flow, configure room tech, and coordinate virtual meetings with precision and customer focus.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with government projects, and the ability to lead small teams of 1–3 technicians to deliver timely, accurate results across demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must understand AV conference room system operation and signal flow.
• Experience working in a government environment preferred.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.
• Audio Visual Technician certification (AVT) must be completed within 90 days of employment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to offer unique and practical solutions to clients' needs while demonstrating the ability to adapt and present suitable alternatives.
• Expert in virtual meeting technology including webinar with advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with poise in a high-paced government environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in core functionality and tools.
• Deep understanding of various physical in-room conference systems including troubleshooting AV racks, teleconference-VTC codecs, Creston/AMX, and related touch panel systems.
• As a Meeting Production Specialist you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for various events and presentations.
• Create, coordinate, and maintain deadlines from pre-meeting through post-production responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or workstation.
• Prolonged use of a computer and keyboard, including typing and using a mouse
• Ability to handle light lifting (up to 20-30 lbs), including office supplies, files, or small equipment.
• Frequent use of manual dexterity for tasks such as writing, filing, and operating office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
• Ability to walk or stand occasionally to attend meetings, interact with colleagues, or move around the office.
• Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading documents, viewing computer screens, and performing detailed tasks.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout a full workday.
