Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist
Location: Westerville, OH | Full-Time | Onsite
Salary: $50,000 - $57,000/Year

A growing organization is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join its collaborative and fast-paced shared services team. This role plays a critical part in managing the customer lifecycle-from setup to payment collection-and requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the customer setup process, including billing, credit evaluation, and contact information updates.

• Create and distribute accurate and timely invoices.

• Record daily bank deposits and update client accounts based on received payments.

• Partner with internal teams and customers to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure accounts remain in good standing.

• Handle inbound and outbound communication regarding past due accounts with professionalism-even when navigating difficult conversations.

• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks (prior experience preferred, but not required).

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in billing and collections preferred; however, recent graduates or entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle objections and build rapport with clients.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in driving results.

• Strong customer service mindset-this company places great value on relationships, referrals, and reviews.

• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus; adaptability to new systems is essential.
