Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an A&P Mechanic for Production Manufacturing at Gray Butte (Palmdale) or El Mirage (Adelanto) in Southern California.

You will assemble, modify, and configure aircraft and ground control stations, perform ground tests, and support production acceptance flights to deliver MQ-series systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, adhering to work instructions, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license is desired.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance is required.
• Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment in production.
• Support production teams to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Perform work on airframe and powerplant during assembly and final acceptance activities.
• Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems during production testing to identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and review manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Assist in training production personnel and customers.
• Perform scheduled production inspections and functional checks.
• Inspect powerplant and related components at milestones per procedures and orders.
• Review records to ensure documentation is complete per procedures.
• Conduct launch and recovery tasks during production acceptance flights and related ground operations.
• Maintain a safe productive environment per procedures.
