Job summary

HeliService USA is seeking an experienced hoist operator to join our Sabine Pass team. You will conduct offshore hoist operations day and night aboard AW169 helicopters, ensuring the safety and readiness of aircraft and crew for marine pilot transfers.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, coordinating with pilots, maintaining flight currency, and ensuring equipment is secured and ready for missions. This role follows a 14 days on/14 days off rotation.

Qualifications

• Active A&P certificate required.
• Prior hoist and/or aircrew experience.
• Annual fit-for-duty physical required for hoisting operations.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment (>70 lbs) for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic inspections, repair and maintenance of engines, and airframes as required by manufacturer guidance, industry best practices, FAA regulations, and company directives.
• Be well versed in a variety of hoisting situations day and night, to include but not limited to high hoists, confined area, elevated platform, and vessel operations.
• Be responsible in the cabin for passengers and inform the pilots when cabin is ready, ensuring harbor pilots and any other passengers are seated within CG limits and that equipment is stowed and secured.
• Maintain flight currency and training minimums as applicable.
• Ensure cleanliness of company equipment such as aircraft, vehicles, offices, hangar, and living quarters.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Base Lead Mechanic.
