Job summary
Stratolaunch is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician to fabricate, install, maintain, troubleshoot and modify on airframe, systems and components. This role supports rapid aerospace R&D in Mojave, CA and may involve new projects requiring advanced fabrication and maintenance skills.
The candidate should have an A&P license and 5+ years of experience with aircraft systems, line maintenance, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance.
- Experience with line maintenance functions: preflight, post flight, launch and recovery.
- Strong understanding of FOD and tool control.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
- Must have A&P license.
Responsibilities
- Installation, testing and maintenance of aircraft systems and components with few defects.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Perform line maintenance including preflight and postflight checks, launch and recovery.
- Enter maintenance data into the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL).
- Interpret electrical schematics for avionics installation.
- Collaborate with Engineering to resolve design/installation issues.
