Job summary

Amentum is seeking an aircraft maintenance technician to perform shop and flight line tasks, inspect and repair aircraft components, and operate ground support equipment. The role requires valid FAA A&P certification, two years of maintenance experience, and the ability to travel to support missions.

Candidates must meet security clearance requirements and hold a valid driver's license. Proficiency with Office apps is valued, and compliance with safety and maintenance procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and a Government flight line driver's license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of aircraft repair procedures for surfaces, electronics equipment, aircraft structure, or fuel cells.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Completion of high school or the equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in Office software applications; especially Outlook, Word, and Excel, highly desired.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, and applicable manuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop and flight line maintenance tasks ensuring aircraft structural integrity.
• Utilize tools, fixtures, and adhesives to return aircraft to operation.
• Inspect and repair flight surfaces, wiring, structure, fuel tanks, canopies, wheels and tires.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Document discrepancies using appropriate forms and reference materials.
• Coordinate maintenance with Site Leads or Supervisors.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD programs.
• Travel as required.
