Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking an IT instructor in South Bronx, NY to provide classroom and hands-on training in computer hardware, operating systems, troubleshooting, networking, and related IT concepts. The role prepares students for entry-level technician positions and the CompTIA A+ certification, with wage range $62,000–$72,000 per year.

You will develop lessons, labs, assessments, and instructional materials, supervise student progress, and ensure adherence to data integrity

Formación

• Two years of related experience in computer repair, information technology, technical support, computer operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, troubleshooting, and basic networking.
• Ability to provide hands-on instruction using computer hardware and software.
• Background check and drug test required on the contract.

Responsabilidades

• Provide students with basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons, laboratory exercises, assessments, and supplemental instructional materials.
• Provide instruction in computer hardware, operating systems, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Provide hands-on instruction using computers, components, peripherals, tools, and applicable software.
• Prepare students for CompTIA A+ certification and related entry-level IT employment.
• Administer and correct tests and maintain accurate student progress and attendance records.
• Monitor student progress and ensure compliance with established corporate and DOL Data Integrity guidelines.
• Teach, model, and evaluate student employability skills and workplace behaviors.
• Maintain and control instructional equipment, tools, supplies, and computer hardware.
• Recommend purchases and replacement of instructional equipment and materials.
• Motivate and counsel students regarding training, behavior, personal problems, and study habits.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Assist in developing employer, community, and industry partnerships.
• Promote student attainment of career success standards through mentoring and skill development.
• Maintain accountability of students and property and adhere to applicable safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
