Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Director for its New York BRE team, focusing on high-performance buildings, sustainability, and code advisory. The role emphasizes leading proposal development, coordinating resources, and training staff, with four in-office days and one hybrid remote day per week.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in proposals within the A/E/C sector, strong English writing skills, and a collaborative leadership style to drive win rates across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of proven experience managing proposal teams in a dynamic environment.
• 10+ years creating proposal content, editing, and managing development activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of compelling proposals through collaboration across internal teams and partners.
• Ensure timely submissions complying with client requirements and RFQ/RFPs.
• Develop and deliver training materials for proposal teams and staff.
• Provide guidance to authors on proposal content and style.
• Oversee development of oral presentations and proposal revisions.
• Ensure final deliverables meet corporate design guidelines and branding.
• Document lessons learned and improve processes for efficiency.
• Develop technical proposals and estimates for level of effort and fees.
