Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop solutions within the Aerospace and Defense field, on-site at the Dixon, IL facility. The role focuses on optimization, process development, and leading cross-functional projects to meet program targets.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience; a Master's degree and Lean/Six Sigma credentials are preferred. Relocation assistance is not offered and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years related professional engineering experience.
• Master's Degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Lean or six sigma experience is preferred.
• Aerospace knowledge/experience is preferred.
• Industrial or machine automation experience is preferred.
• Experience with FEA, preferably ANSYS software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately complex professional engineering duties in a particular engineering field or area of specialization; participates in optimization, methods, and process development.
• Leads more technical or specialized applications, products or projects as needed and coordinates larger cross-functional projects.
• Works to achieve program, functional, and/or business targets within the team with direct impact on departmental results.
• Communicates with employees inside and outside the department, and may interact with external clients or partners.
