Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in low-to-medium volume, high-mix environment.
• Experience documenting manufacturing processes with DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
• Knowledge of APQP, GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional inspection.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Execute prototype builds, plan, fixture, build, and document prototype units including first-article inspection.
• Develop manufacturing processes for new product development; define process flow, tooling, cycle times, and quality checkpoints.
• Implement APQP discipline on new and existing products and lead stage-gate deliverables.
• Own APQP work products: contribute to DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
• Translate high-RPN failure modes into Control Plans with measurement methods and visual Work Instructions.
• Complete Cp/Cpk and Gage R&R studies and manage PPAP submissions as required.
• Update FMEAs and Control Plans after changes and audit floor adherence.
• Manage engineering change requests, coordinate reviews, and update routings and BOMs.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives with quantified savings and owner dates.
• Support production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; assist supplier qualification.
• Maintain master data including routings, standard times, and work instructions.
