Job summary

NAMI Chicago is seeking an experienced 988 Clinical Manager to support the Senior Manager in ensuring high-quality crisis care and linkage to services. You will supervise the 988 Call Center, manage schedules, and drive performance improvements while prioritizing staff wellness.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a social service field, QMHP status, and substantial supervisory experience in mental health. This is a remote position with ongoing team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social service field and QMHP status required.
• Five years or more experience working with people living with mental illness in a community mental health setting.
• Two to five years of supervisory experience in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the 988 Call Center team including task assignment and in-the-moment coaching.
• Direct supervision of supervisors including performance management and coaching in management skills.
• Address performance concerns, staff development needs, and daily operational challenges.
• Oversee auxiliary operations and provide oversight of the Outbound 988/Helpline sub-program.
• Foster an equitable, wellness-focused team culture and support staff wellbeing.
