Your duties will include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and replacing systems and components; performing recovery operations; and servicing electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and charging systems.

Job Duties

  2. Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, and starting and charging systems
Helpful Skills
  • Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems
  • Interest in automotive engines and their workings

Through your training, you will develop skills and experience that can lead to civilian careers with service stations, auto dealers, farm equipment companies, and state highway agencies. You’ll be able to pursue roles as a mechanic working on carburetors, transmissions, radiators, construction equipment, or endless track vehicles.
