Emergency Telecommunicator Services seeks a dedicated professional to join a 24/7 emergency communications center in Oklahoma. You will answer emergency and nonemergency calls, verify locations, and enter details into dispatch systems to guide responders.

Responsibilities include assessing call priority, relaying instructions, and maintaining accurate records while protecting confidentiality. Expect rotating shifts, overtime, and a focus on public safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing, listening, clear speech and basic computer skills needed.
• Experience in emergency communications or testing may be required by agency.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and nonemergency calls within the assigned service area.
• Confirm addresses, callback numbers, incident details and safety concerns.
• Assess call priority using approved questions and procedures.
• Enter incident information into dispatch systems.
• Dispatch appropriate responders when assigned to radio operations.
• Monitor radio traffic and update responders as needed.
• Provide approved caller instructions within training limits.
• Maintain records and protect confidentiality.
