You will work in a 24/7 operation with day or night shifts, weekends and holidays, learning GPS/GIS data, and maintaining calm, professional communication. A valid driver’s license and time-system certification within one year are preferred.

in 911 Telecommunications. This position within the Sheriff's Department offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled
Communications Center Team providing both emergency and non-emergency
services to the communities of Chippewa County. All law enforcement, EMS
and fire agencies within Chippewa County are dispatched through the
Communication Center. Chippewa County Communication Center operates 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. Dispatchers work 12-hour day shifts (6:00 am
6:00 pm) or night shifts (6:00 pm 6:00 am) which includes weekends,
holidays, overtime, and emergency call-ins. Open positions may be
assigned to either shift depending on staffing needs. Shift assignments
and preferences are managed through a seniority-based process.
