Job summary

Crisis Connections seeks a licensed mental health professional for the 911 Crisis Diversion Supervisor role. You will lead a remote crisis diversion team partnering with 911 PSAPs to connect callers with behavioral health resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Active Washington State credential or license as listed in requirements.
• 2+ years of crisis work experience.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment.

• Provide clinical supervision for crisis intervention, risk assessment, de-escalation, and care coordination.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance with established standards, and achievement of performance goals.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
• Collaborate with 911 operators, behavioral health providers, mobile crisis teams, and other community partners.
• Monitor service quality and support continuous improvement through coaching, data review, and quality assurance activities.

Are you a licensed mental health professional passionate about transforming how communities respond to behavioral health crises? Join Crisis Connections as a 911 Crisis Diversion Supervisor and help lead a team dedicated to providing compassionate, real-time support to individuals in crisis.

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of a remote crisis diversion team that partners with 911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to connect callers with the most appropriate behavioral health and community-based resources. Your leadership will help ensure people in crisis receive the support they need while reducing unnecessary involvement with law enforcement whenever possible.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and support a multidisciplinary team of Crisis Diversion Clinicians and Specialists.
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance for crisis intervention, risk assessment, de-escalation, and care coordination.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance with established standards, and achievement of performance goals.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
• Collaborate with 911 operators, behavioral health providers, mobile crisis teams, and other community partners.
• Monitor service quality and support continuous improvement through coaching, data review, and quality assurance activities.
• Assist with program growth, implementation of new technologies, and operational improvements.
• Provide direct crisis support and shift coverage when operationally necessary.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Mental Health Professional (MHP) status as defined by Washington State regulations.
• Active Washington State credential or license in one of the following:
  • LICSW or LSWAIC
  • LMHC or LMHCA
  • LMFT or LMFTA
  • Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Licensed Psychological Associate
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals in crisis.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced remote environment and utilize multiple technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a crisis line, call center, behavioral health hotline, or telephone-based assessment environment.
• Experience working with 911 centers, law enforcement, first responders, or crisis systems.
• Experience delivering training in virtual and/or in-person settings.
• Additional certifications in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, or trauma-informed care.
