Job summary

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience (strongly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience: K-12 classroom setting experience (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade-level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school-wide culture.
• Establish trusting relationships with students and families.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed.
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Spend 40+ hours per week at school.
