Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 is seeking a Paraprofessional for the 8th Grade at McHenry Middle School. Reports to the Building Principal with the required Paraprofessional license and 60 college credits or equivalent ISBE credential.

The role requires strong communication, ability to work in a team, and willingness to support students with special needs. 12-month 175-day schedule, with health insurance and IMRF pension benefits; starting wage $17.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid Paraprofessional License; 60 college credit hour or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol.
• CPI training preferred or willing to train.
• Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; Positive attitude and dependability a must.
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.
