Job summary

McHenry Middle School in McHenry, IL, seeks a Low Incidence Paraprofessional (Adjusted Learning) to support students with special needs under the Building Principal. This 175-day, full-time position requires a current paraprofessional license and the ability to communicate clearly with staff and students.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and IMRF pension; district credits prior experience toward qualifications and provides paid time off.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Paraprofessional License and 60 college credits or Work Keys/ISBE requirement.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Team collaboration and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment and assist with interventions per protocol.
• CPI training preferred or willing to train.
• Work as a cooperating team member and communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; dependable.
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.
