Job summary

Propel Hazelwood seeks a 7th/8th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Propel operates with an extended year (190 instructional days; 30 PD days; 220 total).

Salary ranges from $50,485 to $101,454 based on experience, plus relocation allowances and comprehensive benefits. Teachers participate in robust professional development, have access to retirement contributions, wellness programs, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid PA certification for the taught content.
• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Experience or capability to teach 7th-8th grade math preferred.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Design coherent instruction aligned with state standards and best practices.
• Develop and update learning resources and participate in professional development.
• Create a respectful instructional environment that promotes learning.
• Use diverse instructional strategies to engage students in age-appropriate learning.
• Manage classroom behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assess student learning and use data to drive instruction.
• Implement student IEPs and participate in special education processes as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and report progress to families and administrators.
• Communicate with families regularly and respond promptly to inquiries.
